Sanneji Zendo Tampere is a Zen Buddhist group. We sit zazen together weekly, and we also offer introductions to zen meditation and have monthly zazenkais. Our zendo is at Teiskontie 1.
We practice zen with Sangen Salo sensei, and we are part of a larger sangha, which have zendos also in Helsinki and Turku. Sangen sensei lives at the Sanneji Zen Temple in Karjaa, our sanghas heart place. Sanneji offers opportunities for fulltime zen practice for shorter or longer periods. Sanneji hosts also several sesshins every year.

How to begin?
If you have no prior experience with Zen practice, the best way to get acquainted with our activities is to attend an introduction course. We have regularly introductions where participants will find a proper meditation posture, go through the basics of zazen and zen rituals.
The introduction fee 45€ includes a one-month trial membership allowing you to explore our activities and also visit our other zendos. After the trial membership, you are welcome to become a member of sangha.
